We were recommended to Tina after our pediatrician suggested we work with a speech language pathologist after our 15 month old wasn’t showing any language progress on his own. Tina was incredibly comforting and warm during the evaluation and quickly won the trust of our son (and his anxious parents). Within 1-2 sessions, she was able to help our son repeat actions, learn a few signs, and follow play. In the 3rd session he had his first words and from there his language exploded. Our son learned more and more words each week and we learned tools for how to help support his language development in between sessions. Tina was incredible at providing parental education and helping us understand his progress. She focused on practical words that helped him communicate his needs, so he was less frustrated. She came to our home but also to his school to generalize skills across settings and he loved seeing her. After 5 months, Tina told us our son no longer needed services, and she was right. His growth in language has been on track ever since (and even exceeds expectations). She provided the jumpstart he needed to get going. Tina gave our little one his voice and we cannot thank her enough for that.
